The English born, Paris-based artist Ermsy is an illustrator and artist who reimagines pop culture characters in his innovative artwork, covering everything from Marvel superheroes to sports icons. This presented 9 3/8 x 11 ½ -inch imaginative painting of Major League Baseball superstar Mike Trout was commissioned and signed by the artist Ermsy. The surreal painting uses vibrant colors to illustrate Trout at bat and features the Los Angeles Angels “A” logo in red set against a backdrop of flames. An MLB logo labeled “RC” appears on the right of the dream-like painting. Trout is depicted at bat in a hyper-kinetic and almost psychedelic nature, his image blurred and twisted as if Trout was sped-up and unwound. Yellow halos adorn the top of the painting and feature clouds passing through them. “MIKE TROUT” is labeled on a red banner across the bottom of the painting. The artist Ermsy signed the left corner of the painting with a pencil and inscribed “2020” in pencil on the right corner.
