A real piece of Stanley Cup Playoffs history - a game used Easton stick from Wayne Gretzky. At age 32, the Great One led the entire NHL in playoff scoring with 40 points to lead the LA Kings to their first Stanley Cup Finals. After the Stanley Cup finals, Upper Deck offered 30 authenticated game used Gretzky sticks to the public, of which this is number 18. The Easton Aluminum 5100 stick shows nice game use, with slight scuff marks on the shaft and expected nicks on the blade. Gretzky has signed the shaft and added his number "99" in black Sharpie. "93 P" and "18" is written in black Sharpie on the knob end, marking this stick as number 18 of the 30 sold by Upper Deck in 1993. "Gretzky" is stamped on the shaft just beneath the black Jack the Gripper and also on the top side of the blade. An Upper Deck hologram number UDD15372 has been affixed to the shaft next to Gretzky's signature. The stick comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the MeiGray Group (cert #147989) and includes the original 1993 ad from Upper Deck announcing the sale of this stick. A rare game used piece of equipment from the game's greatest player.
