Presented here are a pair of Nike Zoom Kobe V sneakers signed by the late Kobe Bryant. Widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of his generation, May 2021 Hall of Fame inductee Bryant’s signature Nike Zoom sneaker line first launched in 2005-06. Bryant’s storied 20-year career playing with the Los Angeles Lakers produced five NBA titles, 18 All-Star selections, two NBA Scoring titles, the 2008 NBA MVP Award and two-time Finals MVP nods. Released in 2009-10, the Zoom Kobe V size 10 ½ sneakers are of the same variation worn by Bryant during that 2009-10 season and feature a patent leather royal blue, black, and white colorway that gives the sneaker a bright shine. The iconic Nike “Swoosh” appears on the instep and outside quarter of each sneaker in white. The Bryant logo, dubbed “The Sheath” for its resemblance to a sheath of a samurai sword, appears on the tongue of each sneaker in silver. Bryant’s facsimile signature appears on the heel of each sneaker in silver. The soles feature a black, white, and blue color scheme, and Bryant’s “Sheath” logo appears on the sole in silver. Bryant signed the toe box of the left sneaker with a silver metallic paint pen. The sneakers are in excellent condition. The signed sneakers come with a 9 x 14-inch orange Nike shoebox labeled “NIKE ZOOM KOBE V 10.5” with the box showing some evidence of wear with a slight tear on the outside hinge of the box.
