The New York Yankees are the most storied franchise in Major League history. The franchise has produced an MLB record 27 World Series titles and captured 40 American League pennants in 116 seasons. The Yankees have produced some of the greatest baseball players to ever step foot on the diamond and included in this lot are five signed jerseys from some of greatest players to ever don Yankee pinstripes.

The first jersey in this lot is a New York Yankees jersey signed by former Yankee right fielder Paul O’Neil. O’Neil spent nine years with the Yankees and where he was selected to four of his five All-Star selections as well as winning the AL Batting title in 1994. O’Neil won four of his five World Series titles while playing for the Yankees and retired with the team after the 2001 season. The presented jersey is a six-button white with navy pinstripes Yankees jersey. The iconic interlocking “NY” logo appears on the chest of the jersey in navy tackle twill. A Russell Athletic MLB Authentic Diamond Collection size “52” manufacturing tag appears on the jersey’s left front tail. The second jersey in this lot is a Yankees jersey signed by Hall of Famer Yogi Berra. Berra, known for his malapropisms such as “It aint’ over till it’s over” was a catcher for the Yankees and is the only player in MLB history to win 10 World Series titles and is one of only six players to win the AL MVP Award three times. Berra played 18 seasons, primarily for the Yankees, and earned entry into Cooperstown in 1972. The presented five-button Yankees jersey is white with navy pinstripes and features the iconic interlocking felt “NY” logo on the chest. A Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Authentic Collection manufacturing tag is located on the jersey’s left front tail. A Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. “MADE IN USA” Philadelphia, Pa tag with a size “XL” flag is located on the jersey’s inside collar. The third jersey is a Yankees jersey signed by third baseman Wade Boggs. After spending the majority of his 18-year career with the Boston Red Sox, the five-time AL Batting champion, 12-time All-Star selection, two-time Gold Glove Award winner joined the Yankees in 1993. Boggs won two of his eight Silver Slugger Awards and two Golden Gloves while playing for the Yankees and won his only World Series title with the team in 1996. Boggs retired after the 1999 season and gained entry in the Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2005. The fifth item is a Yankees jersey signed by feared pitcher Roger Clemens. Clemens pitched for five seasons for the Yankees where the seven-time Cy Young Award winner won two World Series titles. Clemens holds the record for 20 strikeouts in a nine-inning game, a feat he accomplished twice. The 11-time All-Star, four-time MLB wins leader, seven-time ERA Leader, and five-time AL strikeout leader retired with the Yankees after the 2007 season.
