Catcher Gary Carter played 19 seasons in the Major Leagues, primarily with the New York Mets and Montreal Expos. The 11-time All-Star was a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, a five-time Silver Slugger, and led the National League in RBI in 1984. Carter was a member of the 1986 New York Mets and hit a 10th inning single that started a comeback rally in Game 6 of the World Series that the Mets won in seven games against the Boston Red Sox. One of only four players to be named captain of the Mets, he is a member of the Mets Hall of Fame and had his number retired by the Expos. Carter entered Cooperstown in 2006 and was the first Hall of Famer to feature a player in their Montreal Expos uniform.

Presented here is a lot of two jerseys signed by the Hall of Famer Gary Carter. The first is a seven-button white New York Mets jersey. The jersey features blue piping on the sleeves and buttoned placket, and “METS” appears across the chest in blue-on-orange-on-black tackle twill. The second jersey is a powder blue nylon Montreal Expos jersey signed by Carter. The five-button baby blue jersey features red and blue stripes on the lateral sides and sleeves of the jersey. The Expos “M” appears on the chest of the jersey in red, white, and blue tackle twill. The number “8” appears on the chest and back of the jersey in red tackle twill. “EXPOS” appears on the chest of the jersey in red tackle twill. A Mitchell & Ness MLB Cooperstown Authentic Collection manufacturing tag appears on the jersey’s left front tail. A Mitchell & Ness manufacturing tag with a size “L” flag appears on the inside collar. Mitchell & Ness MLB Cooperstown Authentic Collection and Mitchell & Ness retail tags appear attached to the inside collar. Carter signed and inscribed “HOF 2003” on the front of the jersey with a black marker. The signature is bold and the jersey is in excellent condition.
