The Pride of Lower Merion High School, Kobe Bryant entered the NBA straight from high school. Selected 13th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac, Bryant won the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest that immediately raised his profile in the NBA.  Bryant would spend all 20 of his seasons with the Lakers and would win five NBA titles, two Finals MVP Awards, was named the 2008 NBA MVP, and earned 18 All-Star selections. The two-time NBA scoring champion was also known for his tenacious play on defense and was named to nine NBA All-Defensive First Teams. The late Bryant will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.

Presented here is an authentic Los Angeles Lakers #8 home jersey signed by the late Bryant. The gold mesh pullover jersey features white and purple stripes on the sleeves and collar. “LAKERS” appears across the chest in purple-on-white tackle twill. A red, white, and blue embroidered NBA logo rests upon the jersey’s left shoulder. The number “8” appears on the chest and back of the jersey in purple-on-white tackle twill. Bryant wore the number 8 during the first half of his career and switched to the number 24 in 2006. A Nike Team Sports size “48” manufacturing tag with a “NBA AUTHENTICS” flag appears on the jersey’s left front tail. “BRYANT” appears across the chest in purple-on-white tackle twill. Bryant signed the number “8” on the back of the jersey with a black marker. The signature is bold and the jersey is in excellent condition. The signed Los Angeles Lakers jersey comes with a COA from Steiner Sports.
