During the 2006 Home Run Derby at the All Star game, David Ortiz made it through the first two rounds, but eventually fell short of the finals. Based upon factory ordering records, player use characteristics, and photo matches by PSA/DNA, this 34.5 inch, 32.5 ounce Rawlings M456B block letter model bat was used during the All Star Home Run Derby by Ortiz. The bat has "DAVID ORTIZ" engraved on the barrel, with the model number (M456B), order number (313), and year (06) are stamped on the knob. Also, Ortiz' number "34" is written on the knob in black marker. This bat shows tremendous evidence of game use with several ball and stitch marks, including blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs, while a moderate coating of Mota stick exists on the handle. Cleat marks and bat rack streaks are also clearly visible. The barrel's sweet spot contains a bold, sharpie "David Ortiz 34" signature. Great "gamer" used to hit a bunch of home runs from one of the game's biggest stars and 2013 World Series MVP. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number G55241, Graded PSA/DNA GU 10 for the bat and PSA/DNA LOA, cert number F13114 for the signature.
