The 1997-98 National Basketball Association season saw legendary shooting guard Michael Jordan earn the last of his five NBA MVP Awards while also earning his third and final NBA All-Star MVP award during a season that saw the Chicago Bulls win their third consecutive NBA title. Jordan, who would retire for the second time after the season, hit the last shot of his career, a game-winning jump shot with 5.2 seconds left, to defeat the Utah Jazz in Game 6 of the 1997-98 NBA Finals. The victory concluded the second Bulls three-peat of the 1990s, and Jordan earned his sixth and last NBA Finals MVP Award.
