Max Scherzer’s four-year run in a Detroit Tigers uniform was marked by a series of accomplishments. This includes a 2013 American League Cy Young award and back-to-back All-Star appearances in 2013 and 2014. This 2014 Scherzer game used Tigers button-down gray road jersey was photo matched to Game 1 of the 2014 ALDS against the Baltimore Orioles on October 2nd. Scherzer struck out six batters and allowed 5 runs in 7 1/3 innings as the bullpen imploded in the 8th inning.

The jersey features “Detroit” scripted across the chest with “SCHERZER” across the top back and his number “37” on both sides in navy, orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “37 48 ’14 928 PL1.” Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturer’s label “JSG” in black marker on the Majestic tag to verify the jersey was worn by Scherzer. The right sleeve has a “2014 POSTSEASON” patch. This jersey displays light game use and Scherzer has signed his name in silver marker on the top of the “3” on the back and inscribed “37”. This jersey comes with a signed LOA from Max Scherzer and a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426873).
