The consensus best player of his generation, Los Angeles Angels centerfielder Mike “The Millville Meteor” Trout hit this foul ball off of Texas Rangers pitcher Martin Perez during the top of the first during the Angels 3-2 loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas on September 19, 2016. Trout hit an RBI triple in the top of the sixth to tie the game, and the Angels took the lead in the seventh to take the lead, but it was short-lived. The Rangers would tie the score on a solo home run by Elvis Andrus and win the game in the bottom of the ninth on a single by Ian Desmond that sent Carlos Gomez across the plate.
Presented here is a game used ball from the Angels 3-2 loss to the Rangers on September 19, 2016 signed by Mike Trout. This ball was thrown by Rangers’ pitcher Martin Perez to Trout, who fouled that pitch back to the screen. The ball was then taken out of play. Trout signed his full name “Michael Nelson Trout” in bold cursive on the sweet spot of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The baseball displays excellent signs of game use with hit marks and abrasions throughout. The game used baseball signed by Mike Trout comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB790778) for the game use and signature.
