If it wasn't for the buzzsaw which were the 1927 New York Yankees, Connie Mack would likely have won his first title in over a decade. This well-worn OAL Ban Johnson ball was signed in blue fountain pen by 16 members of that 1927 A's team. Includes; HOFers Lefty Grove, Ty Cobb, Connie Mack, Zach Wheat and Eddie Collins; also Howard Ehmke, Rube Walberg, Cy Perkins, Jimmie Dykes, Kid Gleason, Eddie Rommel, Max Bishop, Walter French, Jack Quinn, Chick Galloway and Joe Boley. This ball is well worn, was heavily shellacked with multiple scuffs and areas of flaking. Many signatures are difficult to read, however, Cobb ("2") and Mack ("4") are mostly legible. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication, cert number X09258.
