The Rutgers Scarlet Knights got off to a rocky start in 2008, losing their first three games and dropping to 1-5. Rutgers would rebound in a big way, running off seven straight victories to close out the season at 8-5, including a 29-23 victory over NC State in the PapaJohns.com Bowl played at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. It was the program’s third straight bowl victory and a testament to the grit of the team after the slow start.

Presented here is the ring presented to freshman safety Khaseem Greene. Greene, as a junior, would make the switch from safety to linebacker and parlayed his talents into the NFL after being name First-Team All-American, First-Team All-Big East and a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
