Honus Wagner was three years removed from baseball when he issued this check to "Geo. Rowe Co." on "May 5, 1920" in the amount of "$4.60" drawn on the First National Bank of Carnegie, PA. This large sized check features his name "John H. Wagner" pre-printed along the left side, and is boldly signed in fountain pen on the line "John H. Wagner." Some light toning occurs along the right edge, and several areas of his last name are affected by the punched "PAID" cancellation. This item presents very well, and has been graded and encapsulated by PSA/DNA NM-MT 8.
