Cuban sensation Jose Abreu was the 2014 American League Rookie of the Year hitting 36 home runs and driving in 107 runs. His sophomore campaign saw him hit 30 home runs with 101 RBI and he used this two-toned Old Hickory 79JA model bat, with a standard and cherry finish, during the 2015 season. This offered Victus JA44 model bat was used by Abreu during the 2015 season and displays outstanding game use. This un-cracked bat has numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The upper handle/lower barrel has a moderate coating of pine tar and the handle has a bright green Lizard Skins tape to enhance the grip. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. The knob has a Black Schutt sticker with “CHICAGO WHITE SOX” and “79” printed in white. Abreu has signed this bat in blue marker across the barrel and inscribed “#79” and “2015 GAME USED” below. This bat comes with a COA from Player Direct (2953) for the game use and a COA from JSA (W898720) for the signature.
