What we have here is one of the more epic Ty Cobb autograph displays in existence. Its creator collected four iconic photographs of the Tigers star along with a pair of reproductions of his tobacco cards to compliment a mini biography and custom “Georgia Peach” graphic. However, the true star of the display is the single-page handwritten legend from the Hall of Famer. Written on his personal stationary and dated February 12, 1955, the letter discussed his need to reorder photographs of himself which he can give away to his fans who write for his autograph. Ever conscious of his image, Cobb writes about receiving over-priced and sub-standard reproductions in the past and is inquiring of “Danny” to give him a quote on 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 prints of three different poses. The content, interesting by itself, is made completely relevant when combined with the iconic photographs included in this display. Measuring 25 x 37 inches framed, this makes for the ultimate Ty Cobb conversation piece. The piece comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (V08054) for the signature. Please note that due to the size and weight of this item, shipping costs will be higher.
