The 10-year manhunt for terrorist mastermind Osama Bin Laden finally came to a close on May 2, 2011 when President Barack Obama launched “Operation Neptune Spear,” the raid on Bin Laden’s Abbottabad, Pakistan compound. The raid was led by Seal Team 6, with Navy Seal Robert J. O’Neil credited with firing the shots that took the life of the world’s most wanted fugitive who had eluded capture for the better part of a decade. This presented item is a Schutt mini-helmet signed by the man who finally brought Bin Laden to justice, U.S. Navy Seal Robert J. O’Neil. The mini-helmet is painted flat-black and features a metal facemask, plastic chinstraps, and “SCHUTT” on a piece of plastic attached to the facemask. Two stickers featuring an image of Bin Laden with a red “X” across his face adorn either side of the helmet. An American flag sticker appears on the back right of the helmet. A plastic “SCHUTT” neck guard is located on the back of the helmet. A Schutt “S” appears on the back left of the helmet. Navy Seal Robert J. O’Neil signed and inscribed “NEVER QUIT!” on the right side of the helmet with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold and the helmet is in fantastic condition. The Schutt mini-helmet signed by U.S. Navy Seal Robert J. O’Neil comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (9A45119).
