Coming off the epic seven-game World Series victory of the Boston Red Sox, the St. Louis Cardinals picked right up where they left off in 1968 as they stormed through the National League with a 97-65 record and a World Series matchup with the Detroit Tigers. Unlike the previous World Series, the Cardinals lost a seven-game series with Detroit and the 1968 team was the last Cardinal team to reach the post-season until the red-birds won the World Series in 1982.

Offered here is an Official National League Warren Giles stamped baseball that has been signed by 30 members of the 1968 National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals. Signatures on this ball include Hall of Famers Red Schoendienst, Orlando Cepeda, Steve Carlton, Bob Gibson and Lou Brock, with other notable signatures to include Roger Maris, Curt Flood, Julian Javier, Tim McCarver, Nelson Briles, Mike Shannon, Dick Sisler, Ron Willis and others. All of the signatures have been penned in varying blue ink and the ball displays minimal toning. This comes with a LOA from JSA (BB88304).
