Mike Trout is the consensus-best Major League Baseball player of his generation, and he isn’t nicknamed “The Millville Meteor” for no reason, as his career is skyrocketing towards greatness. Trout’s ascendance to baseball glory began during the 2012 season that saw the Los Angeles Angels center fielder lead the American League in stolen bases en route to being named the AL Rookie of Year and earn the first of his eight All-Star selections. His explosive career would gain more fuel in 2013 where Trout would hit for the cycle on May 21, 2013, becoming the youngest player in MLB history to accomplish the feat during the Angels’ 12-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners. Trout, who was the AL RBI leader in 2014, has earned three AL MVP Awards and eight Silver Slugger Awards during a ten-year career that shows no signs of abating.
