Among nearly 135 comparably categorized examples recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just two copies have been placed at this thoroughly commendable tier, and only one specimen has been graded higher. From the obverse of this attractive collectible, Ty Cobb's powerful, concentrated gaze greets the viewer in bold fashion. The more than a century-old card's colors are intense, and its overt signs of past circulation are trivial within the context of the piece's radiant character. Small measures of clean wear affect the outermost culmination points of the memento's pure white borders, primarily at the upper-left tip. A beautifully detailed, career-contemporary Ty Cobb relic, in Near Mint condition.
