Graded 50 VG/EX 4 by SGC. Hall of Famer, in his Rookie Card appearance. Willie Mays' 1951 Bowman "high number series" rookie card is among the most coveted pieces in the hobby, and this one is a very satisfactory example of its type. The offered Mays card is distinguished by bright, well-focused color and strong eye appeal. Its vibrant hues are pleasingly undisturbed by the print lines that are so often observed on cards from this series. Wear at the corners is generally mild to moderate, and one small blemish on the reverse provokes only momentary distraction. Very Good to Excellent condition.
