As one of the greatest hitting catchers of all time, Mike Piazza used his share of bats. But these weren't just bats, but real clubs with long thick barrels tapering down to thin handles. Based upon known factory ordering records, the labeling period and player use characteristics, this bat was used by Piazza during the 2000 season, the season the New York Mets made the World Series. This un-cracked 34.5 inch, 31.1 ounce Mizuno Pro Ltd block letter model bat shows evidence of light use with ball and stitch marks, including blue ink transfers and some cleat marks. There is a very light coating of pine tar mid handle, with some lighter pine tar marks higher on the barrel. Piazza's initials "MP" are engraved on the knob, and his number "31" is written on the knob and the top, both in black marker. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B01986. This is a great gamer from Mike Piazza, a New York Met legend who has a good opportunity for election to the Hall of Fame.
