While popular player endorsements of products goes back to the early days of the 20th Century (Ty Cobb endorsed dozens of products, including his own Ty Cobb tobacco!), the practice really geared up in the 1930s with Babe Ruth, and transcends well into today. This collection includes different types of player endorsed products from baseball and football including games, balls and usable products with all players being Hall of Famers (except Pete Rose). Includes: BASEBALL – TED WILLIAMS (very famous Sears product endorser): 1) 1960s Sports Boots – vintage 1960s Ladies size 8.5 C leather boots with all original tags in original box (NM-MT). 2) 8MM Camera – vintage 1960s 8MM Sears zoom reflex camera with Ted Williams facsimile signature in original box. Camera is NM, box is VG. 3) 1960s Roller Skates – vintage 1960s zip-fit roller skates in original box. Each skate engraved with facsimile Ted Williams signatures. Skates are NM, box is EX. 4) Hunting Jacket – vintage 1960s Sears Ted Williams hunting jacket, size M. Appears to have been never used (EX/MT). SANDY KOUFAX – 1) 1960s penknife - measures 1.25 x 2 inches with Koufax in pitching motion on top, in original box. Rare! (NM). 2) Button – 1960s stadium issued 2.5 inch button with Koufax in flashy image on top (NM). FOOTBALL – 1) OJ Simpson – official Wilson F1630 “O.J. Simpson” football with pump and tee in original box with images of Simpson and facsimile signatures. Unused and all original (NM); 2) Roger Staubach – 1970s Aurora ABC Monday Night Football game, measuring 21 x 16 x 4.5 inches with very large Staubach endorsed color image along left side. Includes most playing pieces, box grades VG/EX. Great Dallas Cowboy item. MISCELLANEOUS – Trio of unopened 1980s VHS tapes of Sports Legend’s Series with Ted Williams, Pete Rose and Mickey Mantle (ALL NM). Total of 11 Hall of Famer endorsed and promoted vintage items, the start of a nice collection or complement to and already existing one.
