McLoughlin Bros., Inc. was a New York publishing firm active between 1821 and 1920. The company was a pioneer in color printing technologies in children's books, and specialized in retellings of classic stories for children. By 1886, they published a wide range of items, including cheap chapbooks, large folio picture books, linen books, puzzles, games and paper dolls. Offered is a complete set of 10 baseball-themed generic “paper dolls” comprising the entire BOSTON team. Nine of the dolls are graded and encapsulated by SGC, except for one, deemed “too delicate to encapsulate” by the third-party grading company. Includes: Batting (40 VG 3), Back View (50 VG/EX 4), Hand at Hat – (40 VG 3), Crouch, Square Buckle (50 VG/EX 4), Crouch, Elbows in (50 VG/Ex 4), Hands on Legs/Left (45 VG+ 3.5), Right Hand over Left arm (40 VG 3), Left Arm Dangles (45 VG+ 3.5) and Crouch – Rectangular Buckle (50 VG/EX 4). The one ungraded card, Throwing appears (PR/FR) with right hand partially torn.
