The extremely scarce T213 (Type 2) Coupon Cigarettes is one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest and most overlooked sets. It is similar in design and borrows the same images as the T206 juggernaut, but the T213 (Type 2) Coupon set was issued exclusively in the Louisiana area, and is far rarer than its T206 counterparts. This T213 (Type 2) Hughie Jennings, Both Hands Showing card reveals the long-time Tiger manager in his significant “Ee-Yah” pose, complete with right leg up. This example is bright, clean, with perfect registration and bold colors. The corners are all square, the image is centered to the left but the card has two surface wrinkles, a very common theme with the Coupon cards. The back is clean with very bold print. This is a very attractive example of a particularly tough HOFer card, and would be a worthy addition to any Hall of Fame, sample, or Detroit Tiger baseball-card collection.
