Not being satisfied as wining 511 career games and having the most prestigious pitching award named after him, Cy Young was obviously a great party host! Offered is a set of 16 stainless steel drinking cups owned by Young, and based upon the accompanying 3-1/2” x 5-1/6” black and white photo, were used during large gatherings at Young’s Newcomerstown, OH residence. Each cup has the manufacturer’s name “Carlton Ware” engraved on the bottom, and obviously was enjoyed by the legendary hurler, his friends and family. The photo appears to be a traditional Sunday dinner, when all the favorite serving items were used. This cup set was obtained by our consignor directly from the Cy Young estate sale which occurred several years ago. Excellent to Mint condition overall.
