Wade, the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft out of Marquette, built the foundations of his incredible Miami Heat career by averaging 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game as he helped turn Miami’s 25-57 record from the 2002-03 season into a 42-40 campaign, capped off by a victory over the New Orleans Hornets in the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs First Round. Wade won three NBA Finals with the Heat and established himself as a true icon of the franchise, with his future holding a spot in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
