Graded EX 5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This sharp and appealing collectible stands among a total of just 65 copies of its type recorded in PSA's census reporting. The 1911 Sporting Life card set reveals the photographic portraits of Carl Horner. Horner's portrait of Honus is, of course, one of the most recognizable images in baseball history, and it was used as the basis for the famous T206 Wagner card. The offered collectible delivers a splendid image of the Dutchman, and boasts soothing colors. This nicely preserved incarnation of its delicate design – meaningfully faulted only by surface wear to the nicely shaped corners and a small blemish on the reverse – presents with the largest measure of its issue's delightful physical subtleties intact.
