The sight that inspired fear in the hearts of the day's American League teams – the determined poise of Mickey Mantle's left-handed batting posture – was reproduced for young collectors' benefit on this popular 1966 Topps entry. On the offered example of the depiction, the spectacle appears up-to-the-moment fresh, displaying a brilliant manner of projection that makes the image seem, quite literally, just recently minted. (This impressive and seldom-observed aura of supreme print quality extends to the item's reverse, as well.) The card's centering is exceptional, and its corners are impeccably robust. Mint condition.
