This is a breathtaking example of Jerry West's debut card, presented in simply spectacular condition. The 1961-62 Fleer basketball issue is well-known in the industry for two consistent aspects: the set contains a wealth of rookie cards, and it is notorious for imprecise image centering. The offered card, with its exceptional overall symmetry, defies that latter element of conventional wisdom. The always-desirable rookie card of the Lakers star is seen here at the peak of attractiveness available from its series' often quality-challenged production, and it has also benefited from extraordinarily careful subsequent preservation.
