Graded MINT 9 by PSA. This is the only copy at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of seventeen examples recorded in PSA's census reporting. Mint condition.

This exceptional piece hails from the R701-5 "Frontier Days" series of trading cards produced by Bowman in 1953. The early days of the "Wild West" provide the subject matter of the popular non-sports release. The prevailing theory about this issue is that Bowman borrowed the artwork for "Frontier Days" from the confectioner's original 1950 "Wild West" series as a cost-cutting measure while the company was struggling to survive. Since the organization's demise was still two years away, it may have been hoped at the time that recovering fortunes would become a reality by reintroducing the colorful, finely detailed illustrations in these cards' larger-size format.
