Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Hall of Famer. "Sweet Caporal - 150 Subjects/Factory No. 30" back. Among only 43 comparably categorized examples recorded in PSA’s census reporting, just one copy has been placed at this superlative tier, and none has been graded higher. Only the very finest, true Mint condition T206 card is capable of the brilliance afforded by the offered survivor.

This singular collectible delivers timeless aesthetic beauty, and portrays an important Cooperstown-enshrined player. The wonderful detail and color in its portrait of Joss, placed against a brilliant yellow background, combine to yield one of the most striking designs in the T206 series.

Addie Joss is the lone 20th Century player for whom the 10-year service eligibility rule for selection to the Hall of Fame was waived. His career was shortened by untimely death, but his lifetime pitching record of 160-93 was nevertheless amazing. The offered tribute is a visually inspiring example. Bold, intense hues projecting forth from fundamentally uncirculated white borders gives this card extraordinary eye appeal. All four corners are sharp and well-defined; the reverse is deeply printed, and its "Sweet Caporal" advertisement projects marvelously. The card's ultimate virtue, however, is its absolutely precise register. Here is the ultimate crispness in registration – the profoundly ideal image, seen just as it was intended to be. This is a truly enviable, "1 of 1" treasure in Mint condition, a card that will handily exceed even the most stringent expectations of quality.
