Presented here is a World Series Game 5 full ticket signed by Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. The Baltimore Orioles faced off against the Pittsburgh Pirates during the Fall Classic, and Game 5 featured Pirates’ pitcher Nelson Briles starting the game to save aces Steve Blass and Dock Ellis for potential Games 6 and 7. The gamble paid off, as Briles pitched an efficient two-hit shutout to lead the Pirates over the Orioles 4-0. The Pirates took a 3-2 series lead with the series heading back to Baltimore. Hall of Famer third baseman Frank Robinson went 0-for-3 during the game and signed and inscribed “1971 W.S. MVP” in blue ink across the midsection of this pink ticket. Please note that Frank Robinson was not the 1971 World Series MVP, he was awarded the honor in 1966. The Game 5 World Series ticket signed by Hall of Famer Frank Robinson comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (84122078) and is graded NM 7.
