No wonder why Mickey Mantle had his greatest overall season in 1956, winning the American League Triple Crown. He was getting pointers from new Hall of Famer (elected in 1955) and former four-time American League HR champion Frank “Home Run” Baker! This approximate 7” x 9” vintage photo features both sluggers holding bats on their shoulders, with Mantle have a slightly bigger model. The borders have ink markings with the date “8-25-56” along the top, and “HOME RUN BAKER” under his image. Both players have stickers under their images with their names in red ink. The verso is missing the original paper caption, but does have the bold International News Photo stamp. Light to moderate edge wear. Great image of these two Yankee sluggers.
