Encapsulated and graded PR 1 by PSA, with Autograph Grade "9" by PSA/DNA. The highly regarded Major League umpire Ralph Arthur ("Babe") Pinelli is commemorated by this scarcer "High Number" 1955 Bowman gum card depiction. Pinelli has placed a neat and bold, blue ink signature on the card's front, and added a second strong signature on the piece's back. A carefully penned, lengthy inscription placed by "Babe" on the obverse details the event for which the arbiter will be forever remembered: "Don Larsen Perfect Game - 1956 World Series - Yanks 2 Dodgers 0." (Pinelli was the ump behind home plate, calling balls and strikes during that remarkable contest.) Pinelli passed away in 1984.
