Opening Day Auction 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/26/2014
Entering 2013, only two major championships eluded golfer Phil Mickelson - the U.S. Open and The (British) Open Championship. “Lefty” finally conquered one of those demons, winning the British Open and hoisting the Claret Jug with his victory at Muirfield in July. It was an emotional triumph for Mickelson, who was coming off a tie for second place (for the sixth time) at the U.S. Open in June. This signed 11x14-inch photograph shows Mickelson, who signed the image in bold, black Sharpie, holding the Claret Jug and pointing. The signed photograph comes with basic certification from James Spence Authentication, number “J82707.”
