Jonathan Singleton was the prized prospect received by the Astros in the 2011 trade that saw Houston ship All-Star outfielder Hunter Pence to the Philadelphia Phillies. It’s clear to see why Singleton was Houston’s target, as the first baseman hit .290 with 14 home runs and 77 RBI in 2010 with the Single A Lakewood BlueClaws. This signed collection that features a game-used hat, batting gloves and cleats come from Singleton’s banner 2010 campaign with Lakewood. The size 7 3/8 hat features Singleton’s signature on the brim in silver Sharpie with the inscription “2010 GAME USED.” The inside of the hat boasts Singleton’s number “14” written black sharpie with “Minor League Baseball Genuine Merchandise,” “New Era” and “7 3/8 58.7 cm” tags lining the back band of the cap. The signed Franklin batting gloves boast Singleton’s signature on both palms in bold, dark Sharpie with the inscriptions “2010 GAME USED.” The gloves show heavy signs of game use, including wear and tar staining on the palms and fingers. The top of the gloves feature a stitched Franklin manufacturer’s patch with a red backdrop, while the Velcro straps boasts MLB logos. The signed size 13 red Nike cleats feature Singleton’s signature in bold, silver Sharpie below the trademark “swoosh” logo on the outside of both shoes with the inscription “2010 GAME USED” above. The tongues of the cleats read “Air Show ELITE” with a Nike emblem below. The cleats show moderate signs of wear, including scuffs on the heels and erosion on the bottoms of the shoes. Each signed item comes with a COA from Lojo Sports and is affixed with individually numbered holographic stickers.
