Opening Day Auction 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/26/2014
The 1916 Standard Biscuit cards appear very similar to many of the 1920s American Caramel issues of the day, except for the different advertising on the reverse. The Standard Biscuit cards were produced in San Francisco to promote their products, were ever issued as a complete set, and are very difficult to locate in any grade. However, this example of Hall of Famer Zach Wheat has been graded by PSA EX-MT 6, and is very high graded for the issue. The card has features of a Near Mint card with square corners, tremendous focus, superb clarity and clean surfaces, but is centered a touch too much to the right. PSA Graded EX-MT 6.
