For 21 seasons he was the face of the Boston Bruins, their perennial captain and 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist. When Ray Bourque finally took his skates off for the last time in 2001 he held the NHL record for most career goals, assists, and points by a defenceman. This equipment bag once held the Hall of Famer's tools of his trade as he led his Bruins around the league. The well used bag carries the famous Bruins team logo on both sides of the coated black canvas bag in gold and white. His personal ID is still attached, a yellow and black card proclaiming "BOURQUE 77" slipped under a clear plastic window. The straps are still secured and attached, the zippers are fully functional. As a heavily used travel bag, there are many scuffs and friction marks throughout. There is a 3" tear on one of the end panels that can be repaired easily if desired. A great piece from one of hockey's most prolific and popular stars.
