Great panoramic photo of the 1927 St. Louis Browns featuring Hall of Famer George Sisler and football Hall of Famer Ernie Nevers. Sisler was winding up his 15 year career that season and college football star Nevers was giving the sport a shot in between professional football seasons. He also gave up two of Babe Ruth's 60 home runs that summer and teammate Tom Zachary would serve up Ruth's 60th and last homer of the '27 season. This wonderful 8" x 40 1/2" print is a perfect example of why panoramas are the quintessential and most desirable type of team photograph in the hobby. What's more, this print comes from the collection of Walter "Lefty" Stewart, a rookie on this Browns team. Crisp and clear, the print does suffer from condition issues with some light staining and has been torn in some areas and repaired on the back with clear tape. These issues do not however distract from the display quality of this exquisite example of baseball photography.
