This fully printed sheet features five player cards from the "Masterworks" issue. Mickey Mantle has signed his card design in bold, blue ink. Mantle, a 1974 Cooperstown enshrinee, passed away in 1995.
In 1990, Perez-Steele Galleries released its glorious "Masterworks" series of baseball player postcards, a production limited to a total of 10,000 serial-numbered sets. The issue featured ten Hall of Famers, with each player represented by five different postcards. Each card was done in one of five different, classic styles: Rose Co. Postcards, T-204 Ramlys, N-162 Goodwin Champions, T-205 Gold Borders and a Perez Steele original. Players included in the set are: Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Charlie Gehringer, Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Warren Spahn, Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Willie Stargell and Carl Yastrzemski.
