The thrill of the chase when opening a sealed box of cards is one of the most enjoyable aspects of hobby. The target here is the rookie card of Chris Paul. Active today while leading the Phoenix Suns to a possible NBA championship, Paul won the 2006 Rookie of the Year award and is in search of his first NBA title. The 274-card base set includes Refractor parallels serial-numbered to 999, Refractor Black (#/399), Refractor Gold (#/99), and X-Fractor (#/90). The 60-card autograph set includes Refractors in Base, Gold, Superfractors and X-Fractors versions. Other inserts released in the same parallel versions as the autographs are “Chosen One” relic cards, “Hardwood Heroics,” and “Premium Performers” featuring Kobe Bryant and Jay-Z. Topps also produced Press Plates in variously-colored parallels.
