Graded GEM MT 10 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Among nearly 3,500 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting, just four examples have been placed at this supreme tier. Presented here is the classic 1961 Topps collectible depicting Boston outfielder Carl Yastrzemski. A fixture in the Red Sox' lineup from 1960 until his retirement in 1983, Yaz is featured in his second season on this glittering memento. On its fresh cardfront surface, the man who collected over 3,400 hits during his career is seen in an encore presentation of his rookie-card portrait. Crisp, snow-white edges and dramatically pointed corners are characteristics of this early 60's treasure. The issue's typical print-tracing is completely absent on this copy, and there are no other visual distractions of any kind. This attractive card of "Yaz" is always a keeper, but the extremely high condition level of the offered example makes it all the more special! Gem Mint condition.
