Presented are 10 baseballs signed by the legendary New York Yankees ballplayer, Mickey Mantle from the collection of his one-time Yankees teammate, Bill “Moose” Skowron.  All 10 baseballs are Official American League Bobby Brown stamped baseballs, and all 10 signatures are signed “Mickey Mantle” in either blue or black ballpoint pen on the sweet spot.  Three of Mantle’s signatures have been graded a MINT 9 by PSA/DNA. Mantle played his entire Major League Baseball career (1951-1968) with the Yankees as a center fielder and first baseman. He was one of the best players and sluggers and is regarded by many as the greatest switch hitter in baseball history. Mantle was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.  He was arguably the greatest offensive threat of any center fielder in baseball history. He has the highest career OPS+ of any center fielder, and he had the highest stolen base percentage in history at the time of his retirement.  Skowron was Mantle’s teammate from 1954 to 1962, and close personal friend for the rest of their lives. This lot comes with 3 LOAs from PSA/DNA, and graded three of those baseballs MINT 9, while the remaining baseballs come with LOAs from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication and each ball has a COA from Skowron.
