The New York Yankees are one of the most storied and most recognizable teams in all of professional sports. The Yankees have played 118 seasons in Major League Baseball, winning 27 World Series titles in 40 appearances in the Fall Classic. The Yankees have 40 American League pennants and have boasted rosters contained with some of the most legendary players to ever step foot on the baseball diamond. Presented in this lot are ten single and multi-signed baseballs from players from the storied New York Yankees franchise.

The first item in this lot is an Official American League Lee Mac Phail baseball signed by former New York Yankees first baseman and hitting coach Chris Chambliss. Chambliss earned the 1971 AL Rookie of the Year Award while playing for the Indians. Chambliss played for the Yankees from 1974-1979 and won two World Series titles while playing for the team. Chambliss would later serve as a hitting coach for the Yankees and win four World Series titles during the 90s while serving in that capacity. “RAWLINGS” is stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” appears stamped in blue on the west panel. Chambliss signed the east panel of the baseball with a black ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball features elements of toning throughout.

The second item is an Official American League Bobby Brown baseball signed by the fleet-footed 12-time AL stolen base leader Rickey Henderson. Henderson was a ten-time All-Star selection’s 1,406 stolen bases are a Major League Baseball record, as are his 2,295 runs. The 1990 AL MVP spent almost five seasons playing for the Yankees from 1984-1989 and was enshrined in Cooperstown on the first ballot in 2009. The presented baseball features “RAWLINGS” stamped in blue on the east panel. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” appears stamped in blue on the west panel. Henderson signed the sweet spot of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and crisp. The baseball is bright white and contains no elements of toning.

The third item in this lot is an OAL Brown baseball signed by Hall of Fame right fielder Dave Winfield. The 12-time All-Star Winfield played nine seasons with the Yankees during the 1980s, earning five Silver Slugger and Golden Glove Awards while playing with the team. “RAWLINGS” is stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” is stamped in blue on the west panel. Winfield signed the east panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball is a crisp bright white.

The fourth and fifth items are two Official OAL MacPhail baseballs signed by Lou Piniella and Bobby Murcer. Outfielder Murcer played the majority of his 17 seasons with the Yankees and made five All-Star appearances and one Gold Glove Award while playing for the Yankees. Piniella played 11 seasons with the Yankees from 1974 to 1984 and won two World Series titles with the team in 1977 and 1978. The 1969 AL Rookie of the Year served for three years as the manager of the Yankees after retiring from play in 1984. “RAWLINGS” is stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” appears stamped in blue on the west panel of the baseball. Piniella signed the south panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. Murcer signed the north panel of the baseball with a black marker. The signatures are bold and the baseball features moderate amounts of toning.

The sixth item is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball signed by Tommy John. The four-time All-Star pitched for the Yankees for eight seasons over two different stints and was known pitching on Opening Day in 1966 for the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees in 1989. John, nicknamed “The Bionic Man” due to his longevity, pitched for 26 seasons in the Majors. “RAWLINGS” appears stamped in blue on the west panel of the baseball. an MLB logo appears stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. John signed the sweet spot of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball is a crisp white.

The seventh item is an OAL Brown baseball signed by Willie Randolph. The six-time All-Star selection won three World Series titles while playing for the Yankees and won an additional three titles with the team as a coach during the 1990s. “RAWLINGS” appears stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” appears stamped in blue on the west panel of the baseball. Randolph signed the north panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball displays some markings and a minimal amount of toning.

The eighth item is an Official OAL Brown baseball signed by Ron Guidry. Nicknamed “Louisiana Lighting,” the four-time All-Star Guidry pitched for the Yankees for 14 seasons and earned the AL Cy Young Award in 1978. The two-time AL wins and ERA leader won two World Series championships with the team in 1977-78 and earned five Gold Glove Awards. “RAWLINGS” is stamped on the east panel of the baseball in blue. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” is stamped in blue on the west panel of the baseball. Guidry signed the west panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball displays minor elements of toning.

The ninth item is an OAL Brown baseball signed by Randy Velarde. The infielder Velarde spent 16 seasons in the MLB, playing with the Yankees from 1987-1995. “RAWLINGS” is stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” is stamped in blue on the west panel of the baseball. Velarde signed the south panel of the baseball with a blue ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball displays a minimal amount of toning.

The 10th item is an OAL Brown baseball signed by famous New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. Steinbrenner owned the Yankees for 37 years where the mercurial Steinbrenner guided the Yankees to seven World Series titles and 11 American League pennants. The famously outspoken Steinbrenner was known to meddle in the daily on-field decisions of the club, much to the derision of his managers. “RAWLINGS” appears stamped in blue on the east panel of the baseball. “CUSHIONED CORK CENTER RO-A” appears on the west panel stamped in blue. Steinbrenner signed the west panel of the baseball with a black ballpoint pen. The signature is bold and the baseball displays a minimal amount of toning. The entire lot of 10 baseballs has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
