Phil Rizzuto was a true legend in New York City. “Scooter” played for the Yankees from 1941 to 1956, winning the American League MVP Award in 1950. He won seven World Series titles with the Bronx Bombers and in 1994 was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. After his playing days, Rizzuto moved to the broadcast booth and went on to call Yankees games for 40 years. His final season as a Yankees broadcaster came in 1996, and it ended with a World Series title.
Offered here are 10 single-signed baseballs from the Hall of Famer Phil Rizzuto. All of the signatures have been signed on the sweet spot, with eight of them signed in blue pen and the other two in black pen. Seven of the baseballs are Official American Gene A. Budig stamped baseballs, two are Official Major League Allan H. Selig stamped baseballs and one is an Official American League Bobby Brown stamped baseball. This entire lot comes from the personal collection of longtime New York Yankees player/executive Gene “Stick” Michael and also comes with a JSA Auction LOA.
