Presented here are two tickets to Game 5 of the 1926 World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees matched up in this series, with Game 5 taking place at Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis. The Yankees won this game 3-2 in 10 innings, with Mark Koenig scoring the game-winning run on a Tony Lazzeri sacrifice fly. Both pitchers, Herb Pennock and Bill Sherdel, threw complete games. The Cardinals went on to win the World Series in seven games, giving them their first ever World Series title. These two ticket stubs, for seats 11 and 12 of row four in section DD, are encased in clear holders.
