In 2012 the San Francisco Giants stormed to a World Series title, dispatching the Reds, Cardinals, and Detroit Tigers en route to their seventh World Series victory. Brandon Crawford and mid-season acquisition and Hunter Pence were big factors in the Giants’ success, with each player occupying a crucial role in the team’s march to victory.

Presented here are two bats used by Pence and Crawford during the 2012 season. The first, an SSK Pro Edge model bat, was used by Pence. This tan and brown bat is cracked, and shows outstanding game use. The handle is wrapped up in grip tape stained with Mota Stick. “3 Brett” is written on the handle in black Sharpie. This bat comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10868), which has graded the bat a GU 8.5.

The second bat is a Marucci CG5-LDM Pro Model bat used by Brandon Crawford, the Giants’ shortstop, during the 2012 season. This bat has been authenticated to the June 20, 2002 game between the Giants and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The bat was broken in the top of the fifth inning, when Crawford flied out against Angels pitcher Jered Weaver. Crawford finished the game 1-2, as Weaver and the Angels cruised to a 6-0 win. The black-and-tan bat shows heavy pine tar staining on the handle and lower barrel. It shows outstanding use. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 778085) and has been authenticated to the June 20th game.
