Presented here are two Cooperstown Collection jerseys signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan. The first jersey is a 1969 New York Mets jersey, reminiscent of the one worn during Ryan’s third season in the Bigs. Ryan won his only World Series in 1969, operating mainly out of the Mets bullpen. This Mets jersey is their off-white home jersey, with “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue felt over orange tackle twill. Ryan’s number “30” is sewn on the chest and back of the jersey in blue felt on orange tackle twill. A MLB 100th anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve, while a Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left. Ryan signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker. This Mitchell and Ness jersey comes with a COA from JSA (S81042).
The second jersey is a 1973 California Angels white pullover jersey. Ryan set the modern single-season strikeout record in 1973, punching out 383 batters en route to his first ever 20-win season. This jersey has “Angels” sewn across the chest in red and blue tackle twill. Ryan’s number “30” is sewn on the front and back in red and blue McAuliffe font tackle twill. An Angels state of California logo is sewn on the left sleeve. Ryan signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker. This item comes with a COA from JSA (S81041).
