Offered here are four game used and/or signed bats from members of the Houston Astros during the 1980’s. The first bat was used by Dale Berra during the 1984 season. Berra’s Louisville Slugger P72 model bat displays moderate game use and is un-cracked. Berra’s number “4” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18923) for the game use. The next bat was used by Davey Lopes during the 1987 season. Lopes’ Rawlings 256B model bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack on the handle. Lopes’ number “15” is handwritten on the knob in black marker and a number has been crossed out on the top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19050) for the game use. PSA/DNA notes that the knob “has been tampered with. Evidence of number removal then the “15” applied.”
The next bat was used by Ron Washington during the 1988-89 seasons. Washington’s Louisville Slugger R133 model bat displays moderate game use and has a crack on the handle. Washington’s number “15” is handwritten on the knob and top barrel in black marker. Washington signed his name in blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18925) for the game use and a JSA Auction Letter for the signature. The final bat in this lot is a Louisville Slugger M110 model bat used by Craig Reynolds during the 1984-85 seasons. This bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. Reynolds’ number “12” is handwritten in white on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18926) for the game use.
