Offered in this lot are four game used bats from former New York Mets. The first bat was used by Victor Diaz, who spent four seasons in the Major Leagues, with the first three as part of the New York Mets and his final season with the Texas Rangers. Diaz used this Marucci model bat during his lone season with the Rangers in 2007. This bat displays excellent use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. There is a light coating of Mota Stick on the handle and Diaz’s number “14” is stamped on the knob in black. Also stamped on the knob is the bat’s date of manufacture “6*19*07”. This bat has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA for the game use.

The second bat was used by infielder Anderson Hernandez, who used this Marucci RM34 model bat during the 2009 season when he split time with the Washington Nationals and New York Mets. This all-black bat displays outstanding use with ball marks, white leather scuffs and blue ink transfers present throughout the barrel. This bat is un-cracked and has a coating of pine tar on the lower barrel/upper handle area. The number “6” is hand written in silver marker on the knob and the top barrel. This bat has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA for the game use.

The third bat in this lot was used by catcher Ramon Castro, who played for the New York Mets between 2005 and 2009 and combined for 33 home runs, 121 RBI and a .252 batting average. Castro used this Rawlings/Adirondack model bat during those seasons. This bat displays outstanding use and has a small crack on the handle. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The lower handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. Castro’s number “11” is hand written on the top barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from Steiner Sports for the game use.

                The final bat in this lot was used by New York Mets utility-man Nick Evans. This Old Hickory Pro P100 model bat was used by Evans during the 2008 season. 2008 was the first year for Evans in the Major Leagues. This bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There are several ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and Evans’ number “6” is hand written in black marker on the knob and top barrel. This bat comes with a COA from Mets Amazin’ Memorabilia, authenticating this bat’s use by Evans during the 2008 season.
